La Mesa CA is a city located in San Diego County. It borders the Eastern edge of the city of San Diego . Nicknamed “Jewel of the Hills”, La Mesa is distinct for its village atmosphere and surrounding foothills. The population is 60,000. Many of the residents have lived in La Mesa for years and some are descendants of the “pioneers” who established the city in 1912. Had a great turn out for World Fair Trade Day in La Mesa!  Special recognition to Mayor Art Madrid, the Sunrise Rotary, Foothills Democratic Club, Kiwanis, Lions & Optimists for their support at Gingham Restaurant Patio.

Live Green Environmental Event was a success for all!  The theme this year was Fair Trade. The event was held at Congregation Beth Israel on April 28, 2013.  Lots of Fair Trade Vendors, a fashion show featuring clothing from Mata Traders and Cafe Moto serving their extraordinary coffee!
