Irvine is a town of 220,000 people in Orange County. There is a large college, UCI here, with around 25,000 students. There are many technology, auto, software and professional services companies here. We are 50 miles South-East of downtown Los Angeles. We have a small but growing committee that are beginning to organize the FTT project. We have almost completed our survey of FT retailers. We have a Fair Trade retailer in the UCI farmers market every Saturday, and we have a new Green Market the 2nd Saturday morning of each month at Irvine Valley Community College.
