The movement to certify Calistoga as a Fair Trade Town began in October of 2010 with the realization that our small community already embraced fair trade products in a variety of ways. Calistoga has been a destination for health and wellness since it's founding in 1886. In fact, even before that the Native Americans used the mineral waters to rejuvenate thier health. There can be no better way to show the world that we truly support health and wellness than to promote the fair trade motto. It is our goal to act globally on a local level. We hope to raise awareness of the benefits of fair trade and increase the availability of fair trade goods in the Napa Valley. We hope you will join us in this endeavor!
