Global Bazaar 2012
Craft and Folk Art Museum Annual Open Air Holiday Shopping Event
Saturday, November 24 from 12 – 5 p.m.
5814 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036 US
Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM) is once again throwing the festive holiday edition of the celebrated Global Bazaar – a shopping extravaganza filled with tremendous works by wonderful and talented people from our own neighborhoods and the world over. Hosted in the museum courtyard, and with the provisions of both refreshments and music at no cost to the patron, Global Bazaar is the perfect place to shop, mingle, and admire handcrafted and fairly traded goods.
CAFAM’s shop has long been admired and awarded as one of LA’s best shopping destinations for its unique and diverse selection of masterfully crafted jewelry, home wares, clothing, and much more. Global Bazaar invites people who already know about the shop’s incredible selection and new friends to come and interact with many of the artists and global importers who make CAFAM’s shop so special. Hear their stories, see their craft, and start holiday shopping at Global Bazaar, aptly timed for the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Fair Trade LA will be there as well as SEAsTra, with beautiful Fair Trade jewelry, scarves and purses from Thailand.
About CAFAM
CAFAM champions cultural understanding by encouraging curiosity about our diverse world through the universal lens of art. Our exhibits and programs serve as a catalyst for the exploration of art and ideas that reflect our ever-changing community. In a shrinking world, CAFAM believes in building common ground. As the twenty-first century brings global cultures ever closer together, we often find ourselves traveling in unfamiliar lands. This mapless new landscape requires inter-cultural fluency and frequent trips to CAFAM.
